O God Divine ! Save my people from Swine..

Hello readers,

In an effort to make sure that my countrymen are protected from Swine flu, I have appealed to GOD to get the world rid of this menace.

This is my first attempt of poetry and i know it wont be good, so pls bear with me..

O God Divine !
Save my people from Swine..

The beautiful daughter, the lovely kid,
the old man and the father who got killed.
Do you think that you did it right ?
Were you listening when their families were crying ?

Children play in the mud, in sun they bask,
they are so innocent, they dont know why they wear that mask..
The world is at danger, you know the cure..
When docs are helpless, people look upto you for sure..

O God Divine !
Save my people from Swine..

We work, we eat, we roam in crowds,
We are poor, we are illeterate, we have no choice..

When a person dies, his family dies too,
for a person dying, there are falling nine !

O God Divine !
Save my people from Swine..

You are the creator, you are the destroyer,
You made it happen, you can take it away..
With you on our side, no flu can survive..

O God Divine !
Save my people from Swine..

You love us, you hate us,you have all the rights,
but we are your children,so dont be so unkind..

O God Divine !
Save my people from Swine..

O God Divine !
Save my people from Swine..

Swine Flu: Ten tips for you to prevent Swine Flu

SWINE FLU: TEN TIPS FOR YOU TO KEEP AWAY FROM THE PANDEMIC

The deadly Swine Flu has reached the Indian shores following the global outbreak and now, claimed one life. However, Swine Flu is certainly one of those diseased where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Here are ten tips for you to keep away from the pandemic.

1. WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY

Use the antibacterial soaps to cleanse your hands. Wash them often, at least 15 seconds and rinse with running water.

2. GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Try to get 8 hours of good sleep every night to keep your immune system in top flu-fighting shape.

3. DRINK SUFFICIENT WATER
Drink 8 to10 glasses of water each day to flush toxins from your system and maintain good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.

4. BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
Keeping your body strong, nourished, and ready to fight infection is important in flu prevention. So stick with whole grains, colorful vegetables, and vitamin-rich fruits.

5. KEEP INFORMED
The government is taking necessary steps to prevent the pandemic and periodically release guidelines to keep the pandemic away. Please make sure to keep up to date on the information and act in a calm manner.

6. AVOID ALCOHOL
Apart from being a mood depressant, alcohol is an immune suppressant that can actually decrease your resistance to viral infections like swine flu. So stay away from alcoholic drinks so that your immune system may be strong.

7. BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE
Moderate exercise can support the immune system by increasing circulation and oxygenating the body. For example brisk walking for 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week will significantly perk up your immunity.

8. KEEP AWAY FROM SICK PEOPLE
Flu virus spreads when particles dispersed into the air through a cough or sneeze reach someone else’s nose. So if you have to be around someone who is sick, try to stay a few feet away from them and especially, avoid physical contact.

9. KNOW WHEN TO GET HELP
Consult your doctor if you have a cough and fever and follow their instructions, including taking medicine as prescribed.

10. AVOID CROWDED AREAS
Try to avoid unnecessary trips outside.

So people, if you follow the above 10 points, you ll most likely avoid swine flu !!

To prevent swine flu, take treatment of Fennel seed

Dear readers, I am sharing a home remedy for Swine flu as it was published on Gulf news.

Without much ado, here is the news article:

Drinking a decoction made of fennel seeds ( saunf in hindi, sompu in tamil, variyali in gujrati, mouri in bengali ) soaked in warm water first thing in the morning could prevent you from catching swine flu says a study published in a Chinese medical research magazine.

According to report published in Al Khaleej a local Arabic daily, the study has resulted in an increase of fennel seeds sales by 50 per cent in some Asian countries.
The report read that similar increase in sales was also visible in countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

The fennel seed warm drink is being distributed to people who are making pilgrimage to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

Swine Flu taking toll in India- request fellow Indians to spread a word !

The last time I searched about Swine Flu, I searched to get information about what this disease is.. And when I searched it this time, I searched to see the influence it has on India.

I hope this ALERTS and ALARMS us !!

The results in google show the first result as the news from India. India is showing the increasing signs of swine flu and this post is for my fellow countrymen to help them prepare to deal with this menace.

I sincerely request Bharat ki Junta ( People of India) to use all the social media to spread awareness about swine flu. Blog about it, tell your family and friends they can take precaution, use social media like FaceBook, Twitter, orkut etc to spread a word.

The biggest problem is by the time the victim know that he/she has contracted the virus, it is too late. Pls DO NOT ignore your cold, cough and fever if it lasts for 2 days. Do get your swab test done and make sure you are free of this virus. The Govt of India has enough vaccine to tackle the disease, but that does not means that we should wait and get inflicted by the disease. In most cases, a person dies within 15-20 days of contracting the disease and even if the medicine ( Tamiflu etc) is given at a later stage, it is of no use !

As we all know that swine flu spreads very fast and is taking lives every day, the only way to make sure you are not it's victim is to take precautions. Make sure you avoid crowds. Wash your hands regularly and if you feel you have the symptoms, do visit your nearest hospital for checkup.

What You Can Do to Stay Healthy [Source: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/ ]

1. Stay informed. This website will be updated regularly as information becomes available.

2. Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people. Take everyday actions to stay healthy.
3. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
4. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
5. Stay home if you get sick. Stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them. Follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoiding crowds and other social distancing measures. Find healthy ways to deal with stress and anxiety.
